Denver's In-School Immunization Program (ISIP)

The Public Health Institute at Denver Health Immunization Outreach team provides vaccination clinics through Denver's In-School Immunization Program (ISIP). The Immunization and Travel Clinic at Denver Health and Denver Public Schools (DPS) partner to host clinics in select elementary and middle schools in the community. We are proud to offer this service throughout Denver to keep children healthy. These clinics provide all required and recommended immunizations to children in the school setting throughout the year.

This program is intended to provide all age-appropriate vaccines to students. Hosting clinics during school hours means that parents will not have to miss work and children will not miss class for medical appointments. Please note that a consent form needs to be completed by a parent or guardian for a student to participate in this program.

The student's insurance provider will be billed for all vaccinations and the cost of administering the vaccines. Families are never billed for vaccine services. All students, regardless of insurance or immigration status, are eligible to participate.

Please contact your child’s school nurse if you are interested in signing up for the program or contact Denver's In-School Immunization Program at (303) 602-3462 with questions or interest.

Need Vaccines? We’ll Come to You!

Call (303) 602-3462 if your organization would like to partner to host an onsite vaccination clinic.

Over the last year, the city of Denver has received newcomers seeking asylum from their home countries. The Public Health Institute (PHIDH) is honored to be one of the groups responding to the needs of this population in our city. We respond by providing post-exposure protection in outbreak settings, protecting children who attend Denver Public Schools (DPS), and supporting adults who seek vaccines required for immigration.

We also partner with other community-based organizations that are passionate about health prevention and promotion for Denver’s kids. A few evenings per month PHIDH goes to DPS schools after hours to host vaccination clinics for children and adults. This offers convenience and caters to busy families to get the vaccines needed to protect the whole family.

Back-to-School Clinics

There’s so much that families need to do in order to prepare for a new school year! We offer vaccination clinics in the late summer and early fall at DPS schools and in the community as a resource for families to get their children vaccinated and ready for “back to school.”

Adult Vaccination Clinics

PHIDH also partners with community agencies to serve at-risk adult populations throughout the city of Denver. Health equity is the core of our work, so our vaccination team makes healthcare affordable and accessible by bringing services directly to the people. We compassionately serve people experiencing homelessness, those who use drugs, people with behavioral health challenges, Black, Indigenous and people of color (BIPOC), and other populations traditionally underserved by the healthcare system. Recurrent vaccination clinics are scheduled to establish trust, build relationships, and complete multi-dose vaccination series for highest protection for all in our community.
