We offer routine and recommended childhood vaccinations for children from birth to age 18. Schools and daycare centers in Colorado require certain vaccines and we offer all immunizations for school. We are open year-round to help your child get the necessary immunizations. Please call to make an appointment; there are no walk-in appointments at this time.

  • Low- and no-cost immunizations are available for children who are uninsured, under-insured or have Medicaid. Flu shots are available for the 2024-2025 flu season.
  • We accept Medicaid (Health First Colorado), Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+) and most private insurances except for Kaiser Permanente, Veterans Administration (VA), Humana, and some CIGNA plans. View a list of health plans accepted at Denver Health.
  • Children younger than age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or person who has authority to give consent for vaccination.

What to bring:

  • Your child's immunization records.
  • Your child's insurance card, if applicable.

Visit the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) website for more information on the vaccine schedule for infants and children (birth-6 years old) and the vaccine schedule for preteens and teens (7-18 years old).

The Immunization and Travel Clinic at Denver Health and other Denver Health clinic locations now offer the 2024-2025 COVID-19 vaccine. Please note that Denver Health only carries the Moderna vaccine.

Currently, all Coloradans aged 6 months and over are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. These vaccines are safe and effective and can be administered on the same day as other vaccines, including the flu. They are still important for protecting individuals and communities from the spread of the virus and to decrease hospitalizations and severe illness. Everyone is eligible for COVID-19 services, no matter their immigration status. A Social Security number and/or government ID may be requested but is NOT required to get a vaccine.

COVID-19 vaccines are no longer free since the federal public health emergency declaration ended in May of 2023. Out-of-pocket costs will vary under different insurance plans so please contact your insurance provider to inquire about coverage of the COVID-19 vaccine.
