Our immunization clinic offers all routine and recommended vaccinations for children, adults, and international travelers. We accept Medicaid and provide a limited inventory of no- and low-cost vaccines for those 19 years of age and older without insurance. Please verify that your insurance plan is accepted at Denver Health before scheduling an appointment. Vaccine costs vary depending on insurance coverage, and prices are subject to change. Please contact the clinic to check on vaccine inventories or if you have any questions about insurance or pricing. Appointments are always required as we do not accept walk-in patients. Make an appointment today! Call 303-602-3520 or schedule a vaccine-only appointment online via MyChart.

Please arrive 20 minutes before your scheduled appointment time for check-in. Patients who arrive more than 10 minutes late will be asked to reschedule. Please bring your vaccine records and give them to the front desk staff at every appointment. If you have vaccine records and forget them for your appointment, you will be asked to reschedule.

Questions? Call us at 303-602-3520 or contact us at travelclinic@dhha.org. Please note that messages and e-mail correspondence will be returned Monday through Friday during business hours.

We offer routine and recommended childhood vaccinations for children from birth through age 18. Schools and daycare centers in Colorado require certain vaccines and we offer all immunizations for school. We are open year-round to help your child get their necessary immunizations but some vaccines, such as COVID-19 or flu shots, are only available seasonally. Please call to make an appointment; there are no walk-in appointments.

  • Low- and no-cost immunizations are available for children who are uninsured, under-insured or have Medicaid.
  • We accept Medicaid (Health First Colorado), Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+) and most private insurances except for Kaiser Permanente, Veterans Administration (VA), Humana, and some CIGNA plans. Check if your insurance is accepted within the Denver Health network.
  • Children younger than age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or person who has authority to give consent for vaccination.

What to bring:

  • Your child's immunization records
  • Your child's insurance card, if applicable

Visit the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) website for more information on the vaccine schedule for infants and children (birth-6 years old) and the vaccine schedule for preteens and teens (7-18 years old).

We offer routine vaccinations for adults for school, work, immigration and other purposes. Please call to make an appointment; there are no walk-in appointments.

  • Medicaid is accepted.
  • We have a limited supply of no- or low-cost vaccines for adults. If you do not have full vaccine coverage, payment is required at the time of your visit.
  • Low- and no-cost flu vaccines may be available seasonally for adults who are un- or under- insured.
  • We accept Medicaid (Health First Colorado) and most private insurances except for Kaiser Permanente, Veterans Administration (VA), Humana, and some CIGNA plans. View a list of health plans accepted at Denver Health.

The Travel Clinic offers comprehensive pre-travel services for international travelers including travel vaccinations, related prescriptions, health consultations, education and expert advice for individuals, families and groups traveling to exciting locales throughout the world.

Travel vaccines are not covered by insurance, and payment is required at the time of your visit. However, our prices are very competitive when compared to private travel consult companies.

A consultation will take at least one hour and possibly longer, depending on the number of travelers and countries visited. Schedule your travel consultation appointment at least two weeks, ideally 6 weeks, before your departure date. Note that appointments book up quickly, especially during the busy spring and summer seasons.

Call 303-602-3520 to make an appointment for yourself or a group; walk-in appointments are not available at this time. We also offer the convenience of telehealth travel consultations to any patients located in Colorado aged 18 years or older who have an active MyChart account. When scheduling your travel consult appointment, please let the staff know you are interested in a telehealth appointment.

If you need a TB test, please contact the Tuberculosis Clinic at 303-602-7240.

The Immunization and Travel Clinic at Denver Health and other Denver Health clinic locations offer the COVID-19 vaccine, when seasonally available. Please note that Denver Health only carries the Moderna vaccine.

These vaccines are safe and effective and can be administered on the same day as other vaccines, including the flu. They are still important for protecting individuals and communities from the spread of the virus and to decrease hospitalizations and severe illness. A Social Security number and/or government ID may be requested but is NOT required to get a vaccine.

COVID-19 vaccines are no longer free since the federal public health emergency declaration ended. Out-of-pocket costs will vary under different insurance plans so please contact your insurance provider to inquire about coverage of the COVID-19 vaccine.

A vaccine called Jynneos can prevent mpox. If you have had close contact with someone with mpox, or are at high risk for exposure, you should get vaccinated. People who already have symptoms of mpox (fever, rash, etc.) should not get vaccinated.

Get two doses of the vaccine at least 28 days apart. For the best protection, get your second dose even if it has been longer than 28 days since your first. If you’ve already received two doses, additional doses are not recommended at this time, except for certain people who work with orthopoxviruses in research or mpox diagnostic laboratories.

Those who currently qualify for JYNNEOS vaccination include:

  • Anyone who had close physical contact with someone who has mpox in the last 14 days.
  • Anyone who:
    • Has multiple or anonymous sexual partners, or
    • Has close physical contact with other people in a venue where anonymous or group sex may occur, or
    • Was diagnosed with gonorrhea or syphilis in the past six months, or
    • Is living with HIV, or
    • Is immunocompromised and anticipates potential mpox exposure, or
    • Already uses or is eligible for HIV PrEP (medication to prevent HIV, such Truvada, Descovy, or Apretude), or
    • Has sex in exchange for money, shelter, food, and other goods or needs.
  • Anyone identified by public health as a known high-risk contact of someone who has mpox.
  • Anyone whose sexual partner identifies with any of the above.
  • Anyone who anticipates experiencing any of the above.
  • Some people who are traveling to areas with clade I mpox cases (see travel recommendations).

Please contact us at 303-602-3520 if you have questions about the mpox vaccine or if you would like to schedule an appointment.
